The Costumes â dressing the earthly and spiritual worlds takes on a modern twist
Tube Gallery, Bangkok, known for its stunning, breathtaking and creative costume design work will once again delight audiences with its whimsical but no less outstanding interpretations of the costumes. Here, they take on distinctively Tibetan, Nepali and Bhutanese influences with Tube Galleryâs signature edgy touch, departing from Han-inspired clothing traditionally associated with the times of Maha Moggallana. Audiences can expect an exhilarating showcase of colours and designs that evoke a fantasy of epic proportions.
The dancing â ethereal, mesmerising and surprising
Choreographed by veterans Yan Chong Lian and Ng Chay Kuang from the renowned Dance Ensemble Singapore and Dance Horizon Troupe Singapore respectively, and performed by dancers from these two established schools, the dancing will incorporate elements of traditional Chinese dance coupled with modern interpretations. Audiences will be thrilled with a segment that is reminiscent of Michael Jacksonâs âThrillerâ video!
The music â a blend of tradition and modernity
Original music by renowned song writer and producer Benny Wong takes inspiration from traditional Chinese music with unexpected contemporary influences. The result is a riveting score that suitably evokes the emotional journeys of the characters.
